Norah Molnar Joins Cohen Mohr

Cohen Mohr LLP is pleased to announce that Norah D. Molnar, a former Dickstein Shapiro LLP partner, has joined the firm’s policyholder-side insurance coverage practice. Ms. Molnar advises and represents policyholders in pursuing and maximizing insurance coverage under a wide variety of policy forms, including directors and officers (D&O), professional errors and omissions (E&O), employment practices liability (EPL), general liability (GL), and fiduciary liability, among others. Ms. Molnar also assists clients with evaluating policy forms and endorsements during the insurance procurement process. Ms. Molnar’s insurance coverage experience includes underlying claims against insureds involving the False Claims Act, consumer protection statutes, securities laws, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, private equity activities, state attorneys general and federal government investigations, trademark and trade dress infringement, patent infringement, false advertising, subprime lending, regulatory violations, wrongful termination, and a variety of business torts. Her clients have included private equity firms and their portfolio companies, lending institutions, career colleges, manufacturers, nonprofit organizations, and a leading global developer of luxury destination properties. Recently, Ms. Molnar was highlighted in the “Insurance: advice to policyholders” section of the 2011 edition of The Legal 500.

Prior to turning her focus exclusively to insurance coverage counseling and litigation, Ms. Molnar advised and represented clients in matters pertaining to federal, state, and local government contracts, including civil False Claims Act lawsuits, bid protests, contract disputes, and Congressional hearings. Ms. Molnar has also represented clients in a variety of commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including securities fraud, accounting fraud, professional negligence, misrepresentation, and breach of contract.

As an insurance coverage lawyer with more than 12 years of government contracts experience, Ms. Molnar is uniquely qualified to assist clients with insurance matters specific to government contractors. As such, there are valuable synergies between Ms. Molnar’s insurance coverage practice and the firm’s other practice areas. As to why she chose Cohen Mohr, Ms. Molnar says, “I began my legal career at Cohen Mohr as a summer associate 17 years ago and have always admired their dedication to quality and client relationships. I feel that Cohen Mohr provides the optimal platform to give me the flexibility to control and grow my practice in a manner most beneficial to my clients.”
